Pink Spirea Shrub

This beautiful pink spirea shrub adds beauty to my garden. This shrub was planted in 2000 and has pink flowers every year at the end of May or early June for 3-4  weeks. It is a low maintenance shrub, a member of the rose family. It is hardy and mostly disease and insect resistance. To improve the shape and fullness regular light trimming is needed. I planted the shrub along the white picket fence that surrounds the vegetable garden. The picket fence adds an old fashioned theme to the photograph.
